🔥 A Ginger’s Plea to Orange Amps: Don’t Forget the Little Guys (and Their Freckles)

The Moment My Ginger Heart Skipped a Beat
When Orange Amplifiers announced their collaboration with Ed Sheeran—the world’s most successful ginger troubadour—I felt a cosmic alignment. A ginger superstar teaming up with the most iconic orange gear on the planet? That’s not just synergy. That’s destiny.
As an Orange dealer and a fellow redhead, I proudly posted on social media that I couldn’t wait to put the new Outlowd ES Series amps on our next order. I imagined the universe smiling back at me.

Then I read the article.
And discovered the line that hit harder than a dropped 2x4 on a big toe:
“Available in the United States exclusively at Guitar Center.”
As a former Guitar Center veteran, I’ll admit—this one stung a little extra.
The Orange x Sheeran Lineup Is Incredible… Which Makes This Even Tougher

The article lays out the whole family:
The ES3: a 3‑watt, ultra‑portable practice amp with Bluetooth and 12 hours of play time. Perfect for beaches, porches, and songwriting sessions.
“My favorite thing about the ES3 is how portable it is.”
The ES60: the busker’s dream—60 watts, rechargeable, two channels, effects loop, gig bag, and enough volume to command a city block.
“You can take this thing anywhere without having to worry about plugging it in.”
The ES100: the stage beast—100 watts, Celestion neodymium speaker system, sweepable mids, hall and plate reverbs, and full pro‑level control. Expected Fall 2026.

These amps are brilliant. They’re inspiring. They’re exactly the kind of gear we love to put into the hands of local musicians here in Greensboro.
Which brings me to the point of this blog.
Dear Orange Amplifiers: A Humble, Ginger‑Friendly Request
We adore you. We support you. We sell your gear with pride. We evangelize your tone like it’s a religion.
But this exclusive deal? It leaves small shops like ours—shops that live and breathe community—out in the cold.
And honestly… what would Ed Sheeran think?
Ed built his career busking, grinding, connecting with people face‑to‑face. He’s the patron saint of the underdog. The guy who proved you can go from street corners to stadiums with nothing but a loop pedal and a dream.
Would he want his signature acoustic amps to be available only through a giant corporation?
Or would he want them in the hands of the indie shops—the ones who nurture the next generation of singer‑songwriters, buskers, and ginger‑haired dreamers?
I think we all know the answer.

Why The Guitar Shop Off Elm Street Deserves a Tiny Slice of the Orange
Here’s what we bring to the table:
A fiercely loyal local community. We’re not just a store—we’re a hub for musicians across Greensboro and the Triad.
A passion for acoustic players. We help beginners, buskers, and pros find their voice.
A deep love for Orange gear. We’ve been proud Orange dealers and advocates since day one.
A ginger owner who feels cosmically connected to this collaboration. Look, if there’s ever been a moment for a ginger‑to‑ginger solidarity discount, this is it.
A mission aligned with Ed’s roots. We support the exact kind of musicians these amps were built for.
All we’re asking for is a chance—a small allocation, a limited run, a tiny ginger‑friendly exception carved out of the big corporate citrus.
To Our Customers: Keep the Faith
We’ll continue to champion Orange gear, support local musicians, and fight the good fight for indie shops everywhere. And who knows? Maybe this blog will reach the right eyes. Maybe someone at Orange will say:
“You know what? Let’s get these amps into the hands of the people who actually talk to musicians.”
Until then, we’ll keep doing what we do best—serving our community, celebrating great tone, and rocking our freckles with pride.
